Senior Capstone Exhibition

1111

Didn’t really think I would make it this far, but the last student show of my college career, the senior capstone exhibition, is this Sunday from 2-4PM. I know, I know, it’s the same day as Norman Music Fest, but this is early in the day, so you’ll have plenty of time for a little art before your music. Get there early, before all the fruit’s gone.

Geronimo!

Chicago boys Geronimo! dropped us a message to let us know about their upcoming show at the Soundpony on Monday. Not sure how they know who we are, but we figured we would pass the word along. And if you don’t already know, the Soundpony is a bar in Tulsa with a bicycle theme. That’s right, bicycles. Best. Bar. Ever.

Gray Owl Coffee Grand Opening Art Show

Friday the 13th is coming up, and Timothy Elliott and Gray Owl Coffee have teamed up to bring you an art show with some of the scariest most adorable monsters you have ever seen. The show will feature the work of Ed Gruber, Sam Wargin, Kyle Combs, and Timothy Elliott, with music by Sean Barker, Sethy McCarroll, and Brady Smith.

Oh yeah, and tasty beverages by yours truly.

Gray Owl Coffee

If you live in Norman, get excited because we are about to have a legit coffee shop. Gray Owl Coffee is opening it’s doors today. What’s this? A coffee shop in Norman with late hours, a chill environment, and most importantly good design? Absurd!

Just look at this beautiful sign which was designed and handcut by Tim Elliott. Nothing like some good type to warm your soul.

Try it out and let us know what you think. Map.

Halloween Bike Ride and Parade

We are teaming up with Dennis McNett and friends to have a massive costumed bike ride this Friday at 5:30, starting on the North Oval of the university. The art school is having a costumed iron pour party starting around 4, so we are going to have our ride and meet up with them afterwards for a ridiculous parade through Norman and public dragon slaying.

The facebook event page is here.

The Apache House presents…

I know you all have been just looking for an excuse to stop by Reese’s new beadery, and that’s why we are sponsoring his grand opening cocktail party. Stop by this Friday and check out his beautiful jewelry selection, or just hang out with all your friends that will already be there.

There will also be door prizes from Birdie, Gray Owl Coffee, Tim and Sethy’s beautiful screen prints, Pistachio, and Reese’s own jewelry line Tallgrass. Music by Toddy J Solo (from Evangelicals) and Brine Webb. I really don’t know why you wouldn’t go to this.

Recap. Drinks, jewelry, local art, free stuff, music, me, you. See you there.
