Seth is Kind of Like Prometheus

If you’ve had the feeling that downtown Norman has been looking better lately, but can’t place your finger on what has changed, don’t feel alone. The same thing happened to me. I was sitting at Bison Witches (Wiches?) having a mediocre time when all of a sudden, something caught my eye.

That’s right, our very own Apache Housemate has had one of his spiffy little logos displayed prominently on ye old thoroughfare. He was also kind enough to let you all take a peek at his sketch work before the final solution. Enjoy.

Alive!

Hey just wanted to drop a quick post to let you know the House is still up and running. Looks like we had some hosting issues, but not to worry. We’re back.

The Clinic

My most recent project isn’t exactly design or art-oriented, but I want to tell you about it anyway. A couple weeks ago I began to organize a community yellow bike project for my neighborhood in Norman, which quickly evolved into a community bike garage called the Clinic. A friend has been gracious enough to allow us to work out of his garage, which has turned out to be really awesome work space. Dozens of bikes have been donated, and we have fixed and built several bikes for friends. We’ve put together and painted five community bicycles so far, and last weekend we had a Grand Opening / Fourth of July barbeque.

Hopefully this idea will continue to grow with community support and become a resource for progressive ideas and community living.
